Grant’s decade-plus career with Metro, has embraced sales, strategy, marketing and international partner relationships, as well as steering the development of key air and ocean products, providing the perfect foundation for managing his directors. A committed coach and mentor, Grant has been instrumental in defining and articulating the award-winning Metro culture, which continues to be critical to our success.

An industry professional of 40 years, mostly with Metro, Andrew has grown and developed with the business, contributing significantly to its success. Andrew currently has overall responsibility for global operations by all modes and has overseen the successful implementation of a myriad of high quality joint venture and strategic initiatives.

Ian joined metro in 2023. He has 20+ year experience in supply chain working for AB, Volvo and Kuehne + Nagel in various project management, solutions, procurement, consulting, and technical roles. Ian is responsible for developing & delivering Metro IT strategy as well as implementing customer solutions that support our wider commercial growth and retention strategy.

An industry professional of 11 years, entirely with Metro, Elliot has grown and developed with the business contributing in all areas, ranging from commercial through to operational. Elliot currently has overall responsibility for commercial pricing, ensuring swift and competitive rates are delivered without fail.

Andrew recently re-joined as Chief Commercial Officer, having started his career with Metro in the late ’90s. He has over 20 years of international experience working for a global logistics provider and has held senior executive positions in various roles and locations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Taking responsibility for a key transportation mode, Andrew leads the strategic development of our global ocean product.

Responsible for key accounts, Tom manages internal operations teams and Metro’s relationship with key accounts, including industrial manufacturing, part distributors and manufacturers of tractors, excavators and tyres. Tom has been with Metro for 28 years in a variety of senior management roles.

BSc (Hons), LLB (Hons)

A graduate of Durham and Staffordshire Universities, Laurence joined Metro in 2011, taking responsibility for legal and compliance. In 2016 Laurence was recognised as Metro’s employee of the year and was promoted to his current role which encompasses accounts, finance, quality and legal & compliance. Laurence is currently Vice Chair for BIFA’s Legal & Insurance Policy Group.

With a proven track record of growth and innovation Richard has recently brought his 35 years of in depth European Road freight experience into Metro. His commercial acumen coupled with a strong operational background will enable him to drive this important sector forward.
