BIFA notices
The British International Freight Association (BIFA), is the trade association representing UK freight forwarders and acts as an authoritative voice for the industry at official and government levels.
BIFA is listed by the UK government on their Business Link website and is consulted by H.M. Revenue and Customs as a member of the Joint Customs Consultative Committee.
BIFA represents freight forwarders in Brexit discussions with the UK government and various international NGOs and provides advice and information on the issues that directly affect the industry and their customers.

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES £705 MILLION INVESTMENT FOR GB-EU BORDER

The UK government has announced a £705 million funding package in 20/21 for border infrastructure, jobs and technology in an effort to ensure GB border systems are fully operational when the UK takes back control of its border after the end of the transition period.

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has welcomed the latest announcement by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) of an extension to the implementation timetable of the new computer system that will replace an existing system used for processing Customs declarations.
