Garments on hangers case study
One of our clients in the fashion business wasn’t achieving the very best container utilisation with garment on hangers (GOH) for their new Autumn/winter launch. Together with the customer, Metro reviewed their full requirements and expectations and designed a totally new configuration of GOH frames suitable for 40ft HC and 45ft equipment. Using this innovative frame design we managed to achieve an additional 23% container fill for the goods. Most importantly, we did this while still fulfilling the main objective of integrity with the garment fabric and continuing to negate the need for processing on arrival in the UK. As a result, our retail client effectively reduced their freight costs by 23% while still delivering their garments on time and in the condition they’ve become accustomed.
If you’d like to see what our GOH services could do for your business, please contact your Metro account manager.
